Gurumayi chants the Siddha Yoga initiation mantra Om Namah Shivaya. Gurumayi composed the melody of this chant in the Bhimpalasi raga, a classical Indian melodic pattern that evokes feelings of devotion and compassion. This chant was recorded in Gurudev Siddha Peeth on the morning of Gurumayi’s birthday in June 1999. Monsoon rains were falling during the chant and can be heard in the background.
