Chanting with Gurumayi Chidvilasananda
The chant Om Namo Bhagavate Muktanandaya, sung in honor of Swami Muktananda, Gurumayi’s Guru, praises the greatness of the Lord who dwells within everyone as the inner Self. In this chant we honor the spiritual Master, who lives in the experience of spiritual freedom and who guides us toward that supreme attainment.
The music for this version of Om Namo Bhagavate Muktanandaya was composed in the Bhupali raga by Haider Bux, a singer of qawwalis (devotional songs sung in Urdu) from Lucknow, India. This recording was made in December 1992 at Shree Muktananda Ashram in South Fallsburg, New York.
