Yajna Ash
Yajna ash contains the blessings of the yajnas, or sacred fire ceremonies, held at our two main ashrams: Shree Muktananda Ashram, in the United States, and Gurudev Siddha Peeth, our mother ashram in India. During the fire ceremony, the offerings are transmuted into divine food for the deities, the powers of the universe, and they in turn leave us their blessings in the form of the ash that is left at the end of the yajna. Yajna ash is said to contain "the footprints of the Gods" and using it is a powerful way to bring blessings into our lives.
How to use Yajna Ash
Our Brahmin priests in India shared this information on how to traditionally use Yajna Ash to bring blessings into your life. You can also read more about Yajnas and their significance.
The Sankalpa or Intention of the Yajna
Each yajna has its own sankalpa, or specific intention. All the mantras and offerings are performed with this intention in mind. The ash contains the essence of that sankalpa.
