This painting was commissioned for installation above Gurumayi's chair in the Shakti Mandap in Shree Muktananda Ashram during the late 1980's, and hung there for many years. The artist said: "While doing the portrait, completely focused on Baba for many days, my whole studio was suddenly filled with Baba's presence, and Baba's energy radiated from the artwork."
